Privacy Policy

Moedo ("Moedo", "we", "us" or "our") provides a cloud business-management platform (the "Platform") that helps businesses run their operations — including point of sale, CRM, projects, customer messaging and social marketing. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Platform you agree to this Policy.
1. Who this Policy applies to
It applies to our customers (businesses and their authorised users) and to individuals whose personal data is processed through the Platform on a customer’s behalf.
2. Information we collect
- Account & profile data — name, email address, company, role and login credentials.
- Content you create — the records you enter into the Platform (contacts, orders, projects, posts, messages and similar).
- Connected social & messaging accounts — when you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram Business account, Threads profile or WhatsApp Business number, we receive and store, through the official Meta APIs and only with your authorisation: account and page identifiers and profile details, access tokens, the content you publish through Moedo, and engagement data on that content (such as comments, messages, reactions and aggregate metrics). For WhatsApp we process the messages exchanged with your connected number in order to deliver them to your inbox.
- Real-time updates (webhooks) — we receive event notifications (for example a new comment or message) from these platforms so your inbox and streams stay current.
- Usage & technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and log and diagnostic data.
- Cookies — strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and session management.
3. How we use information
We use personal data to provide and operate the Platform (including publishing and scheduling posts, managing conversations and generating analytics you request), to authenticate users, to provide support, to maintain security and prevent abuse, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use data obtained from Meta platforms for advertising or for any purpose other than providing the features you have asked us to provide.
4. Legal bases
Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform; and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We share personal data: with the social and messaging platforms themselves, in order to carry out the actions you request (for example, publishing a post to Facebook or sending a reply on WhatsApp); with service providers (such as hosting and infrastructure) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; and where required by law or to protect our rights. Your use of Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp is also governed by Meta’s own terms and policies.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. Access tokens are retained until you disconnect the relevant account or revoke access. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
7. Your rights & data deletion
Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and disconnect any connected account. To request deletion, see our Data Deletion page or email privacy@moedo.ae. You can also revoke Moedo’s access at any time from your Facebook or Instagram settings (Settings → Business Integrations). We action verified requests within 30 days.
8. Security
We protect personal data with encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege practices and secure storage of access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data.
9. International transfers
Personal data may be processed in the countries where we or our service providers operate. Where data is transferred across borders, we apply appropriate safeguards.
10. Children
The Platform is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Third-party platforms
Moedo integrates with third-party services, including Meta’s Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp, and Shopify. Those services’ handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you.
